Maura Thomas founded RegainYourTime.com in 2003 out of a passion
to help entrepreneurs and small business owners. Her expertise in organization and efficiency comes from over 14 years
in the productivity training industry, where she developed a process for getting things done with low stress and increased
efficiency, called the Empowered Productivity System. She was recently profiled in the Austin American Statesman’s
“Coffee With” feature, and has been invited to speak to business groups large and small all over Austin.
Maura helps busy people use her specific methodology, plus technology, to be more efficient and productive. She earned
an M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, and since starting her business she has worked with clients in a variety of
industries, from solopreneurs to Fortune 500 and every size in between.
We believe in giving back! Maura sits on
the boards and is actively involved in several local non-profits, and at least one training is delivered pro bono per quarter
to local non-profit organizations. Below are some non-profits we've worked with so far:
The Trail Foundation
Bootstrap Austin
The Climate Project
Junior Achievement
BIG Austin
ACLU
YellowTape Construction
Out Youth
IMPACT Women's Self Defense
PeopleFund
Oak Hill Business Professional Association
KPM Institute
Also, starting March 1, 2009, Burget Ave
gives 2% of all training fees received to the charity of the client's choice!
Note from the Founder:
A question I hear frequently is, “what is Burget
Avenue?” So I thought I'd share my story here. I grew up in Medford, Massachusetts, a suburb just north of Boston.
If you know anything about this part of the country, you might be familiar with the close-knit neighborhoods that characterize
it. Well, I grew up in one of those close-knit neighborhoods, and the friends I began to make when I moved there at age two
are still some of my closest friends today. I am lucky enough to have a large circle of friends - really, family now - whom
I have known virtually my entire life. (See below!) And most of us still have family in the neighborhood, and still
“go home” and reunite at the holidays every year. Growing up in this neighborhood was one of the biggest blessings
of my life, and I wanted to honor that, and the people in it. This is why I called my company “Burget Avenue
Management Services.” With email, I still get to have an address on Burget Ave! =)
I look forward
to meeting you!
Best,
Maura Thomas
