Maura Nevel Thomas founded Burget Avenue Management Services in 2003 out
of a passion to help entrepreneurs and small business owners. Maura's expertise in organization and efficiency comes
from over 13 years in the productivity training industry, directly and indirectly teaching individuals and teams how to efficiently
and effectively get results. Throughout her career, Maura has worked with solopreneurs to Fortune 500 companies, and
every size in between, in virtually every industry.
Maura earned an M.B.A. from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts. Since starting her
business she has worked with clients in a variety of industries, including real estate, public relations, interior design,
graphic design, athletic training, law, accounting, architecture, non-profit, and technology.
Note from
the Founder:
A question I hear frequently is, “what is Burget Avenue?” So I thought I'd share my
story here. I grew up in Medford, Massachusetts, a suburb just north of Boston. If you know anything about this part of the
country, you might be familiar with the close-knit neighborhoods that characterize it. Well, I grew up in one of those close-knit
neighborhoods, and the friends I began to make when I moved there at age two are still some of my closest friends today. I
am lucky enough to have a large circle of friends - really, family now - whom I have known virtually my entire life. (See
below!) And most of us still have family in the neighborhood, and still “go home” and reunite at the holidays
every year. Growing up in this neighborhood was one of the biggest blessings of my life, and I wanted to honor that, and the
people in it. This is why I called my company “Burget Avenue Management Services.” With email,
I still get to have an address on Burget Ave! =)
